A Friend Should Be Radical...

A Friend should be Radical, Fanatical, and Most of All, Mathematical… : A Friend should be Radical; They should love you when you’re unlovable, Hug you when you’re unhuggable, And bear you when you’re unbearable. A Friend should be Fanatical; They should cheer when the whole world boos, Dance when you get good news, And cry when you cry too. But most of all, a Friend should be Mathematical; They should multiply the joy, Divide the sorrow, Subtract the past, And add to tomorrow, Calculate the need deep in your heart, and always be bigger than the sum of all their parts.

Choose Your Relationships with Care

"When you walk with wise men, you will become wise, but a companion of fools will be destroyed." (Proverbs 13:20) Today's Word from Joel and Victoria The quality of life is often determined by the quality of our relationships. Do you know that you will become like the people you associate with? If you constantly spend your time around lazy and undisciplined people, then before long, you're going to be lazy and undisciplined. But on the other hand, if you associate with successful people, then you're going to be successful. If you spend your time with people of vision, who are going places in life, you will be inspired to go further than you would on your own. Take time to examine your friendships. Ask yourself, do I want to be like this person? Do I like their qualities? Do they inspire me to reach for new heights? As you choose to be around wise people, you will become wise too, and walk in the abundant life God has for you! A Prayer for Today G

Your Idea Of A Good Friend

I n kindergarten your idea of a good friend was the person who let you have the red crayon when all that was left was the ugly black one. In first grade your idea of a good friend was the person who went to the bathroom with you and held your hand as you walked through the scary halls. In second grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you stand up to the class bully. In third grade your idea of a good friend was the person who shared their lunch with you when you forgot yours on the bus. In fourth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who was willing to switch square dancing partners in gym so you wouldn’t have to be stuck do-si-do-ing with Nasty Nicky or Smelly Susan. In fifth grade your idea of a friend was the person who saved a seat on the back of the bus for you. In sixth grade your idea of a friend was the person who went up to Nick or Susan, your new crush, and asked them to dance with you, so that if they said no you wouldn’t have

I Refuse To Be Discouraged

I refuse to be discouraged, To be sad, or to cry; I refuse to be downhearted, And here’s the reason why… I have a God who’s mighty, Who’s sovereign and supreme; I have a God who loves me, And I am on His team. He is all wise and powerful, Jesus is His name; Though everything is changeable, My God remains the same . My God knows all that’s happening; Beginning to the end, His presence is my comfort, He is my dearest friend. When sickness comes to weaken me, To bring my head down low, I call upon my mighty God; Into His arms I go. When circumstances threaten To rob me from my peace; He draws me close unto His breast, Where all my strivings cease. And when my heart melts within me, And weakness takes control; He gathers me into His arms, He soothes my heart and soul. The great “ I AM ” is with me, My life is in His hand, The “ Son of the Lord ” is my hope, It’s in His strength I stand. I refuse to be defeated, My eyes are on my God; He has promised to be with me,

If I Could...

If I could catch a rainbow I would do it just for you And share with you its beauty On the days you’re feeling blue. If I could build a mountain You could call your very own A place to find serenity A place to be alone. If I could take your troubles I would toss them in the sea But all these things I’m finding Are impossible for me. I cannot build a mountain Or catch a rainbow fair But let me be what I know best: A friend that’s always there. by author unknown
